April2nd2008. Hello again! Sorry about the delay, but we have had some horrendous problems with our website connections - but it seems  to be OK today!

December19th2007.  Today we had our 100,000 visitor to the website. Absolutely amazing. This milestone has been achieved in just under 5 years and equates to over 50 visitors per day, every day! So if you are reading this.............welcome to the most popular UK Snack Delivery Truck website - we hope you enjoy your visit and it answers your questions (if it doesn't answer them all, please call us).

December7th2007. Well, it's that time of year again, Christmas presents, closedowns, office parties, Christmas cards and New Year price increases................WHAT????

Yes, I'm afraid so, the relentless month-on-month rise in the cost of stainless steel and the impending chassis manufacturers increases mean that unfortunately we have to increase our prices from January 1st - BUT if you are in the envious position of being able to place an order before Christmas for New Year delivery, we will hold the 2007 price until the end of March 2008 - now that's the Nice Guys at Jiffy for you!

October20th2007.  For a limited period only, we are pleased to re-offer the Jiffy Salsa. We have been able negotiate the supply of a limited number of Peugeot Expert 2.0HDi EuroIII platform cabs (a re-badged version of the Citroen Dispatch), so the Salsa, Comida and Gemini are all reoffered as the "Classic" range. If you need any more information, call Charles or John for details.

TRANSPORT NEWS NETWORK

We know the Jiffy Truck range is impressive, just read what Transport News Network said about the Banquet:

"Hungry? If you've never bought anything from one of the thousands of sandwich vans that ply their trade around the industrial estates of the UK then we'd imagine you're in the minority. To call them sandwich vans is actually unfair because they can provide far more than that as TNN found out when we talked to the man from Jiffy.

Jiffy are specialists with almost 30 years experience in the fast food industry. Originally they were mobile caterers themselves, now they manufacture the mobile catering trucks and nothing else. Quite sensibly they don't reinvent the wheel and build their own vans, they take the best from the main manufacturers, use that as the base and hand craft a Jiffy catering van on top. They seem to do the same with the Commercial Vehicle Show which is how TNN found them sharing a stand (10-310) with donor vehicle supplier Toyota.

Created on a Toyota Dyna cab and chassis with a 2.5 litre diesel engine, the Jiffy Banquet impressed TNN. The quality of the hand built catering body was self-evident and the vehicle was packed with well thought out space to store and cook.

With its distinctive quilted stainless steel hinged side canopies wide open, we could just imagine a queue of hungry customers waiting to be served. Beneath the Banquet's wings we found both refrigerated and heated displays with Perspex and glass sliding display doors respectively. The refrigerated area also contained an 80 can storage rack to floor area with the heated display having a Bain Marie rack with 3 dry Bain Marie baskets.

Neatly tucked into the whole design was a microwave, perfect for those cornish pasties. While your busy serving the starving masses and, of course, after, you'll need to wash your hands and the Banquet's got that covered too; there's two sinks on board, one for hands and the other for utensils. Both sinks then drain into a waste tank that hides under the counter.

Looking into the cab, the only changes to a standard Dyna that we could spy were an additional control panel for the refrigeration, heater and hand wash operations plus a 'hatch open' alarm system.
Jiffy offer a range of purchase options for the Banquet (and all their other vans too) and will also help you with route building, where to find work, health and hygiene, food supplies, pricing, profit margins, waste reductions and, as their brochure says, much, much more.
We liked the Banquet, but TNN had one small complaint; the van was empty and after three hours at the show we were getting hungry! We'll just have to keep our eyes open for a Banquet outside the offices instead."

When it comes to Snack Trucks, only Jiffy is trusted by one of the World's biggest motor manufacturers .............we are proud to announce the inclusion of a new Jiffy Bocado for display on the Toyota GB stand at The Commercial Vehicle Show 2007 (NEC, Birmingham, April 24/25/26). Visit www.cvshow.com to book a fast-track entry. See you there!
